What is Birth Photography exactly?

 First, it is capturing the most important day in a parents life. You will forever remember you labor and delivery. Birth Photography is - capturing the first time you see your baby, the first time you touch/hold her/him, the first breath and the first cry and much more. 

When is a good time to book and what will be discuss when we meet?

  You're welcome to book at any time you please . The earlier the better! Reason being said, is as follows: I recommend the earlier the better so we can meet previously and sit down and discuss what you are really looking for out of the experience. We will discuss concerns and comfort. We will only get one opportunity at this session so It is important to know ahead what shots you are looking for the most. We will also discuss where you plan on laboring and birthing and what type of birth it will be.

1. I will be on call 24/7 from the time of booking. 

2. Price will include initial consultation

3. We will arrive at your birthing location when you are about 6 cm.

4. Gorman Photography will be there no matter what! We guarantee it.

5. We will stay up to 2 hours post delivery to capture all the first moments. 

6. A retaining fee will be due at time of booking to reserve your day of delivery. The retainer fee will go toward your total package price, the remaining balance of your session will not be due until you are about 37 weeks pregnant.

What is lifestyle newborn session you ask?

   At-home lifestyle newborn sessions are about the love and connection between the newborn and the family. I'll capture special moments with each family member and the newborn . I will also capture the whole family together.

Where will we capture these precious moments?

   The sessions will take place in the client's home. If another location is chosen that is fine but usually you want the newborn in the location that it will be living to catch the natural look. Please do not stress on if your house is a mess - you just had a baby so its understandable. 

Do I use props or pose the newborn?

   I love to capture the relationship between the family and siblings and the newborn. I personally wont bring any props but you are more then welcome to incorporate anything of your choosing. We can pose the newborn any way you would like as well. I love to stay with natural poses and but if you have any request to pose the newborn that is welcomed.

What is included in this package and pricing? 

  The duration of the session typically takes 2-2.5  hours. There's no telling how a newborn baby will act, he or she is in charge so I allow time for feeding and diaper changes and all the fun that's included with having a newborn baby at home.
